Feasibility Study on Plastic-to-Oil Technology in Thailand
EJEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd. supports Environment Energy Co., Ltd. to conduct Feasibility Study on Plastic-to-Oil Technology Project in Thailand under JICA development assistance program.
Environment Energy Co., Ltd. is a developer and patent owner of plastic-to-oil conversion technology using a catalytic cracking process, registered under the name "HiCOP". The technology is able to produce a higher-quality oil product compared with conventional pyrolysis methods, while offering operational advantages, including continuous feeding, higher energy efficiency, and lower maintenance.

As a part of the Feasibility Study, EJEC Thailand assisted in conducting Waste Analysis and Characteristic Study or "WACS" in some areas of Chiang Mai Province to identify the physical composition and analyze chemical component of the plastic waste in municipal solid waste (MSW). The result of the WACS will be used to determine compatibility of the Plastic-to-Oil technology and assess feasibility of the technology implementation in Thailand.
