The shape of strength

The CTS-02v4 captures the exact impact force waveform using a hammer-mounted accelerometer. Every strike produces a wave divided into two distinct phases.

  • Phase 1: Surface Compression

    The first half of the waveform shows the hammer pushing into the concrete, capturing plastic deformation first, followed by elastic deformation of the surface.

  • Phase 2: Elastic Rebound

    The second half captures pure elastic rebound. This reveals the true compressive strength, completely unaffected by surface degradation.

By analyzing the ratio between these two phases,
the CTS-02v4 isolates surface aging from delamination near the surface.
