Road Collapse on Rama 2 Road After Water Pipe Burst
- On 17 January, a section of Rama 2 Road in Samut Sakhon collapsed after a large water pipe burst under the road, causing part of the pavement to fall in and creating a hole. A pickup truck fell into the hole, but the driver was not seriously injured.
- Road and provincial authorities quickly closed the damaged section, managed traffic, and worked on repairs. They found that a 1-meter main water pipe under the road had broken, which led to the collapse.
- By January 18, repairs were completed: the broken water pipe was fixed and the road surface was restored, allowing traffic to return to normal. Officials thanked the response teams and apologized for the inconvenience to drivers.
